Check List of Information necessary to price
electricity
As you know most utilities will be increasing electricity
prices to customers throughout 2005. It is expected that
electricity prices will increase again significantly in
2006, and in 2007. Customers can reduce electricity cost by
purchasing electricity through a non-regulated supplier, and
fix the electricity price for as long as three years. The
customer can fix the electric price for the term of the
contract, which protects the customer from any electricity
price increases. In addition to a lower price, the customer
will have a predictable price. This means for the term of
the contract the customer can accurately budget electricity
cost.
The Energy Authority can price electricity in one, two and
three year terms for customers. and prospective customers.
The Energy Authority uses the wholesale electricity market,
and works with credible suppliers such as ConEdison
Solutions, Select-Wholesale, TransCanada, Dominion, and
Direct Energy.
Whether a customer is currently purchasing from a
regulated utility, or from a non-regulated supplier The
Energy Authority typically can provide the customer with a
more competitive price. For the Energy Authority to provide
electricity pricing we need the following information;
