One of the most valuable benefits of
belonging to the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce is the
opportunity to participate in one of the Chamber’s many
committees that are of interest to you and your company.
The following are the current major committees of the
Chamber and our Affiliated Partnership.
Economic & Workforce Development

The goal of the Chamber’s Economic &
Workforce Development effort is to increase economic
activity in MetroWest by promoting retention and expansion
of existing companies and start-ups of new companies, while
supporting all levels of education and inclusion of new
workers.
Education Initiative
The Education Initiative is a
collaborative effort among area businesses and local school
districts to provide internships and other connecting
activities for students to become familiar with the world of
work.
495/MetroWest Corridor Partnership
The
Partnership is a public-private organization established to
realize the full potential of the 495/MetroWest Corridor as
an engine for sustainable economic development for the
region and Commonwealth, while enhancing the quality of life
in the corridor and sustaining environmental resources.

Business Council

The Small Business Council is made up of
small business owners elected to three-year terms. The goal
of the Small Business Council is to provide a forum for the
growth and development of small businesses through
Networking Breakfasts and Business After Hours.

is to inform and represent the MetroWest business community
on relevant issues at the federal, state and local levels.
Marketing

The Marketing Committee strives to
enhance the image of the Chamber among members, potential
members and the public through marketing the Chamber,
improving communications to members and publicizing the 495/MetroWest
Business EXPO.
Membership Development

Ambassadors Club is to increase the retention rate among new
and existing members, provide a point of contact for new
members, ensure satisfaction of new members and foster
member satisfaction.

Retention Committee works to improve customer service to
Chamber members in their second year and beyond. There are
no monthly meetings and all contact between committee
members and Chamber staff is done online.
