Event Description:

Inspiring Workplace Wellness: Improving Productivity and Reducing Absenteeism

84% of Employers say improving employee health is a core component of their organization?s health strategy, according to a recent Willis Tower Watson Survey. However, designing and implementing a strategy that works can sometimes be a challenge especially when budgets are tight.

This presentation will discuss the building blocks of employee wellness programs and present options and ideas that you can use to build your own program. The ideas presented can be mixed and matched and implemented over time to create a program that fits the needs of all budgets and company sizes while leading to tangible results.

About the Presenter:
Kathleen Larson Day is a Certified Health Coach and self-care advocate supporting adults in their journey towards optimizing health and wellness. As an executive in healthcare information technology for over twenty years, Kathleen's continued personal health journey has prompted a desire to help others achieve their wellness goals.

Optimizing health can be very difficult given the busy lives we lead and the lack of reliable
information that will help us make informed choices. Moreover, making lasting changes that matter can be even more challenging. Regular support and science-based knowledge about how food, lifestyle, attitude and exercise impact us physiologically helps us make more informed choices.

Kathleen maintains a
private coaching practice in Framingham, teaches Community Health Education classes through the Metrowest Health Transformation Project and works with various types of organizations to design and implement Health and Wellness Programs.
