    Event Description:
Women's Empowerment Luncheon at American Girl Bistro (Natick Mall) with Susan Munter

    Event Description:

We invite you to join Susan Munter a brand strategy consultant and founder of The Branding Band, a marketing/branding agency for small business, after many years of marketing experience with several global organizations including Hill Holiday and Genzyme.

Work today looks more like Legos than the traditional ladder model. Work is more flexible, modular, and virtual. Susan will talk about what she calls the "gear career" - a new framework for thinking about, preparing for, and living with work - whether as an corporate employee, small business owner, solo entrepreneur, or freelancer.

The "gear career" focuses on helping you align three key gears; you, the work that needs doing, and the organization you are working with.  It helps you identify your strengths, your "gears", and how to bring them together to get the work you want.  You'll leave feeling empowered to better position yourself for new opportunities and will have new language for talking about your personal and professional strengths.

    About Susan Munter:
As a veteran of the Boston agency scene, her work has been focused on customer insights, brand strategy, and copy writing, ultimately acting as VP of Brand Planning.  Susan has worked alongside some of the best and brightest at Digitas, Mullen, PJA and Hill Holiday for companies such as AT&T, American Express Travel, Biogen, EMD/Serono, Genzyme, TE and the US Army.

Susan started Branding Band to coach companies to be more productive by being better brands--on the inside and out.  She is interested in what works in the realities of today, what drives productivity, and spurs creativity. The rest is noise.

    About American Girl Bistro

American Girl believes in creating girls of strong character.
Facing fears, running into roadblocks, and learning from mistakes? That's life. Responding with optimism and resilience? That's character, the kind they build in girls everywhere, every day through stories and experiences both timely and timeless.
Strong characters. Powerful stories. Trusted advice.
In every book they have published (more than 800 of them!)
the words they write are chosen with intention and purpose, to inspire girls to think about who they are and who they want to be. From creating beloved characters who become role models to partnering with pediatricians and other experts who offer advice for each stage of girlhood, they give girls the confidence and courage they need to face challenges.

When you walk through the doors of an American Girl store, you enter a place that celebrates individuality and encourages creativity. It's where every experience cements stronger bonds between you and your girl from a shared love of Maryellen or Melody to sharing stories over dessert instead of on social media.

Making the world a brighter place

American Girl has a long-standing commitment to helping children and families in need. They are proud to support a wide range of causes and issues affecting millions of individuals, such as literacy, poverty, natural disasters, and illness, to name just a few. They work with leading charitable organizations to ensure our donations are helping make the world a brighter place.

With more than $125 million in donations of dolls, books, clothes, and cash over our 30-year history, we bring smiles to those in need when they need it most.
