Habitat for Humanity MetroWest Greater Worcester is pleased to announce the date has been set for the 2nd annual MetroWest Operation Playhouse Build-a-Thon.The Build-a-Thon will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, at the Framingham Centre Common. Operation Playhouse is a day long event during which local businesses and organizations can sponsor and build a customized playhouse for the children of a local veteran as a way to say “thank you” for their service. Each sponsor will send a team to build a small village of playhouses on the Common. At the end of the day, the playhouses will be revealed to the children for whom they were created. Proceeds from the event will support Habitat’s local home builds in Holliston and Northborough as well as their Critical Home repair program. The Presenting Sponsor is MetroWest Medical Center, who will also build a playhouse on site. Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available.
